Basic Miniature Paints And Supplies
Here’s a quick overview of a good basic miniature paint set you can build for yourself.
Like we said before, we don’t recommend buying a mega set of 50 or 100 paints right off the bat to get started.
It’s an unnecessary expense. And probably won’t use over half of the paints in a set that big.
Instead we recommend starting with a smaller intro paint set and building your set out a one or two paints at a time as needed.

This set has a great variety of paint colors and terrific place to start painting almost any model.
In addition we’d recommend purchasing a “dark” or black wash (for all-around details on any model) and a flesh wash (for lighter monster and humanoid flesh).

The only other things you really need to get started painting on your own are some cheap but decent synthetic brushes and some brush cleaning soap (however, regular dish soap will do in a pinch).
